Grand Theft Auto - Is it really that simply to steal a modern car?
Unfortunately, it is absolutely simple, takes 2 minutes with the right technology which is mostly in the hands of criminals.
In vehicles with a keyless go or a similarly functioning system, theft is carried out by means of a relay attack.
Criminals try to intercept signals
It has been known for years that the trick works in front of single-family homes, in parking lots, even while you sit in coffee shop, where there is often only a short distance between the car and the car keys. But underground car parks in large apartment buildings? Yes, perpetrators also run through the stairwells of apartment buildings and try to intercept signals on the apartment doors.
Nationwide in the United States in 2020, there were 810,400 vehicles reported stolen, up from 724,872 in 2019 and that number has increased dramatically in the last two years.

How does the ATTC work?
Our module, wiring harness and remote (Anti-Theft System) can be installed in any BMW, BMW M, BMW Plug-in Hybrid and BMW Electric vehicle with an electronic gas pedal (from 2008) and is ready for use immediately after installation. It’s is a direct plug into the existing (OEM) harness.
The dÄHLer Anti-Theft Throttle Commander disables the accelerator pedal on the next vehicle start. This makes it impossible to rev-up the engine.
Criminals might be able to crack the signal, open the door, even start the engine and shift in gear, but this is where the story ends.
It is not necessary to activate the Anti-Theft mode again after each stop. The function remains activated by default until the function is deactivated again.
Why gas pedal tuning?
In modern BMW cars when you step on the throttle, you’re not moving a linkage anymore. You’re actually sending a signal to a computer and most of these new BMW have a lot of what is termed dead pedal.
You step on the pedal and it takes one or two inches of travel before anything happens in the vehicle. After the install of the the dAHLer Anti-Theft Throttle Commander ATTC the gas pedal response will improve immediately.
Does it give you any more power?
No, the dAHLer ATTC doesn’t give you any more engine power but it makes the vehicle feel a lot more responsive and instead of pushing the gas pedal all the way into the carpet to get maximum engine performance power, you can push the pedal halfway down and your BMW will accelerate like you had it all the way down.
With the dAHLer ATTC device installed there are a lot more responsive and making your car act like a hot rod!
Inside the dAHLer ATTC
Inside our device is an advanced control unit that is designed to optimize and work with the factory BMW ECU.
It integrates flawlessly to extract maximum power and torque of the stock engine just a lot quicker without faults and errors. The harness has OEM style plugs to connect in-line with the sensor on the accelerator pedal.
Safety
With our ATTC module all of the factory safeguards of your BMW remain in place. One of the amazing advantages of this type of system is that it is unaffected by factory BMW updates and service.
The ATTC module is undetectable to plug-in diagnostic readers and it leaves no traces behind.
Each module, remote control and wiring harness is manufactured in Germany at an certified facility to fulfill the highest safety standards.

Select the desired Driving Mode
Throttle Commander
The throttle response of each Driving Mode is reduced by pressing the arrow buttons counter-clockwise for a lesser response or clockwise for a quicker throttle response.
COMFORT MODE (blue)
Unfamiliar terrain and too much traffic? This mode lets you take it easy. Your gas pedal reacts less sensitively – especially when starting off. Your stress level will thank you.
ECO MODE (green)
$4.00 a gallon? There are a few tricks you can use to save fuel and money when driving. This driving program supports you in reducing the average fuel consumption of your BMW if certain rules of economical driving are observed.
SPORT MODE (red)
This driving program gives your vehicle a much sportier character. Your BMW reacts with a significantly better response and a straighter acceleration. The response time of the engine is significantly improved.
TRACK MODE (purple)
If you are not yet satisfied with the sports program and you like to push yourself to the limit, then give it a try. For those who go on tracks or run cars with 85 Ethanol this mode might be the right choice.
Select the desired power of your vehicle
The dAHLer Anti-Theft Throttle Commander comes with a Valet mode. The valet mode reduces the values of the electronic accelerator pedal. Although the accelerator pedal is fully depressed, this corresponds to only a certain percentage of the normal value, depending on the setting.
This leads to a significant reduction in vehicle performance. You can see the individual settings in the diagram.
This mode can be used when an inexperienced or unknown driver is using the vehicle.
For example:
The valet mode starts with 65% of the stock values. The value is reduced (10% reduction with each click) by pressing the arrow buttons counter-clockwise. The value is increased (10% increase with each click) by pressing the arrow buttons clockwise
